Welcome to the Plant Based Method! I am SO pumped about your decision to make meaningful changes in your wellbeing and that you've chosen to let me ride this journey with you! This new student orientation will help guide you through how this program works.

Module 1: Getting Started

Hey , welcome to our first Module!!  It's always important to know the WHY before you embark on a new journey! In this module I'll outline the man benefits of plant based eating.  We'll set you up for success by getting some big questions answered to help you get total clarity on WHY you're making some changes and starting a new journey with me.  you will determine your WHY; you're reason on why you want to live in The Plant Based Method. Don't worry; you're not committing to going 100% vegan forever, unless you really want to! The goal in this course is to get you to know and understand why eating a more plant-centric diet is so beneficial and crucial to your health, and this first module will look at 2 different sides of benefits: those benefits for the body and those benefits for the planet. You decide for yourself!  We’ll also look at all myths out there surrounding plant based diets.  I'm here to clear up all the babble! Now, there is a "right" and "wrong" way to eating plant based. I'll teach you the right way here in this module.   I'm talking ALLLLL the myths and debunking them one by one so you know the facts!

I'll also take you through your fridge and pantry to get rid of all the things that will no longer serve you on this journey, and stock it up with some things that do.

Module 2: Nutrition Basics

Welcome to Module 2! While we won't be doing any tracking of nutrients in this program (that is not our goal here!), this module goes through the micro and macronutrients that are important, so that you can plan your meals accordingly.

Highlights:

  • Learn about micronutrients, why they're important and where to find them to get ALL the benefits
  • Discover everything you need to know about macronutrients and how you will be able to get enough of all of them in your plant based meals
  • Start using my Recommended Portion Plate to start portioning out your plant based plate for optimal results.
  • Learn about the importance of water intake and set some goals for yours!

Module 3: Plant Based Replacements

This can be the part scares people! We're talking all things plant based replacements; that's right, the things you get rid of. But remember, this course is not "how to become a 100% vegan; the goal is to be more plant-centric.  So in this module, you can take notes on my recommendations then try them and find some that you like!

Module 4: Sleep and Stress

Sleep and stress are two critical pieces of your wellness journey AND your journey to healing.  While we will talk about your specific needs in our 1:1 sessions, this module will give you some insight into how to get a hold of your stress with mindfulness practices and how to get better sleep.

Module 5: Improving Your Health: Energy, Digestion and Inflammation

Optimal health comes from 3 main components: energy, digestion and inflammation.  We'll cover all 3 in this module.  First, we will focus on how to eat for optimal energy and digestion.  Next, we'll look at inflammation. Inflammation is a natural part of a healthy body; it’s what keeps us well and helps us heal. You'll learn about what inflammation is and what happens when it gets out of hand. But not to worry, this Plant Based Method will most certainly create the anti-inflammatory environment your body is craving!  Not only will we talk about what foods are creating the inflammation, but what foods can stop the inflammation.  This is the part that can be completely transformational for you and your body!

  • Uncover the source of your 3 PM slump (or maybe yours is a 24/7 lag!) and how to fix it
  • Learn how and when to eat for optimal energy and get started with tons of recipes to get you there
  • Discover where proper digestion comes from and how YOU can achieve it... Sometimes we don't know how terrible our digestive system really is, until we find out what GOOD digestion feels like!
  • Discover what foods (and behaviors!) are causing inflammation int our body and the issues it can cause. 
  • Learn about the inflammatory dangers of artificial sweeteners (as proven by science) and the ones to look out for. We'll also look at healthy substitutions!
  • Find out what you can add to your diet to decrease the overall inflammation thus increasing your quality of life, overall health, and increase longevity!
  • Complete the Elimination Detox Diet to pinpoint problem foods for you, reduce inflammation and rid your body of unnecessary toxins
  • Get started with some easy plant based recipes for optimal digestion, event and more to help reduce inflammation!

Module 6: Making Plant Based Meals Simple and Doable

When planning a plant based meal (or meals) it can be somewhat overwhelming or just feel uncertain how to start. “How do I plan a meal with plants?” “I’m not a chef, I don’t know how to come up with recipes on my own.”  This is what keeps many people from moving forward with a plant based life, they don’t know how to start planning meals, so they choose salad because it’s apparently the easiest thing people can think of that is full of veggies; well, no one really wants to eat salad every day, so they get burned out. All it takes is a simple template to get started, then you can bring in the variety and versatility that you want.  In this module, I'll provide a framework for you to start planning your own plant based meals, stress free, all plug-and-play and just so easy! Plus, I'll share some of my best mea prep and planning time saving tips to save you time so you can get your life back and not have to spend hours in the kitchen all week trying to plan out healthy meals.

28 Day Plant Based Meal Plan

You made it to the end, ! I hope you're feeling enlightened and empowered to take control of your (and your family's) health with more plant centric meals. This last lesson contains your 28 day meal plan to get you going full force! 

Module 7: Getting Your Family on Board

Getting your family on board to eat more plant based can be the absolute trickiest part of it all!  Spouses, partners and kids are sometimes not the biggest fan of veggies, so the idea of getting them to eat more is daunting.  In this module, I will provide some tips to get your family on board as well as some actionable tips that you can use to incorporate more veggies into your family's current diet!

  • Learn some fun and easy ways to sneak in more veggies in your meals
  • Receive lots of family friendly recipes to get you started!

Module 8: Creating Lasting Changes

Creating habits that stick is going to be key to your healing and your progress! This module comes straight out of my RESTORE program with some tips to create habits that stick. In this module we’ll put it all together and learn how to create habits that stick with a clear framework on creating habits, sticking to them, and eating intuitively.
